A Little More About Lauren...
Lauren Stidham is a born and raised native of Tucson, Arizona. In high school, she spent her summers as a camp counselor. After graduation, she went to Northern Arizona University, where she dual majored in elementary and special education. As fate would have it, she ended up back in Tucson teaching 5th grade at the very same elementary school she went to as a child. Lauren stayed in education for 7 years, then moved on to work part time at her church in the music ministry department. It was a good match since she loves to sing and play percussion. During that time, she also built up a spa and skincare business through BeautiControl and promoted to a Senior Director in the Tucson area. She loved helping others feel beautiful in their own skin and empowering women on her team. In 2015, she decided to pour all of her focus into her beauty business and stepped back from the part time church position. Little did she know that BeautiControl was going to close for good in the summer of 2017.
That moment was a turning point for her career and focus. Unsure of what exactly to do since her sole source of income was gone in a month, she jumped into a dental sales rep position to pay the bills. Although she did very well there, a little gnawing began at her heart. It whispered, “There’s more out there for you to be doing besides just selling toothbrushes.” Through self-exploration, research, and a few tears, she was introduced to life coaching. As soon as she settled into her first coach training class at the Institute for Integrative Intelligence in the Fall of 2019, it felt like home. Coaching was the perfect place for her to use some of her top strengths like empathy, compassion, strategic thinking, and asking deep questions. In fact, looking back, she could see evidence of coaching scattered throughout her life journey to this point. In the Spring of 2020 (mid-pandemic), she opened her own coaching practice and started helping others be the architect of a life they love. About a year after that, she took on the role of Dean of Students at the Institute for Integrative Intelligence. There she supports students/alumni, teaches classes, and coaches.
When Lauren is not coaching… you will find her reading a book for book club or trying to recreate a Pinterest craft. She enjoys walking, practicing yoga, painting kindness rocks, paddling her feet in the ocean, fiddling around with her plants, and laughing with friends over a caramel frappuccino. She and her boyfriend Alex also enjoy playing with their 2 dogs, a 6 lb. Yorkie named Lexie and a goofy Golden named Sam.
